BELOIT, Wis. - The Beloit College Men's Hockey team is set to kick off their inaugural season on November 1st on the road at Bethel Univeristy. The Buccaneers, under head coach
Shane Buckley will hit home ice for the first time on November 12th to host Augsburg University at the Woodman's Center in Janesville, Wisconsin.Â
With only two seniors on the roster, the Bucs will look for to a core group made up of sophomores and juniors to help lead them. Buckley highlighted forwards Ben Stewart and Joe Weber, defenseman McCarthy Reed and goalie Andrew Yocum as players to watch. Buckley stated, "We're excited to get going for our inaugural season. The group is a great mix of veteran presence and younger guys that will make a positive impact right away in our lineup. We expect to compete night in and night out, and lay a strong foundation for Bucs Hockey to build off of over the course of this season, as well as years to come."
Last week the WIAC (Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) released the 2025 Men's Ice Hockey Coaches' Poll. The Buccaneers were selected to finish 6th.Â
