Beloit College

I chose Beloit for numerous reasons. Firstly, Beloit was one of the only schools truly interested in having me be a part of their basketball program. They took a chance on me and I believe that I have been able to represent the school well with my level of play. Secondly, my grandfather, Ben Galloway, came here before me and also participated in athletics here: both football and basketball. With that being said, there was certainly a legacy component attached to my decision as well. Furthermore, my grandfather is usually even keel about a lot of things in life but one aspect that has always energized him and excited him was everything about his time here. I thought that was inspiring considering all these years later, he was still so positively impacted by that chapter of his life. 

It means a lot to represent the school through basketball. Essentially, every time we play, we are creating an image of perception of how the college is (even though athletics is just a partial lens of the school). Along with that comes the fact that you are individually representing yourself on a public stage. I take immense pride in the fact that I have tried my hardest to represent both the school and myself in a positive and admirable image over my three years so far and I will be carrying that mindset into my final year.
