Basketball History Roster
Biography
When I was offered and took the position as the head men's basketball coach it was an honor, a privilege and honestly just a bit scary. I was only the third coach in the program’s history and the two before me were Hall of Fame, iconic coaches. Beloit basketball represented the highest level of Division III. Four years before I took the job, I was at Augustana College. We played Beloit in the quarterfinal of the NCAA tournament at Beloit. I remember when we first came in being met by Beloit folks who were genuinely excited that we were there to play their great team. The crowd was great. The game was great. As we were leaving, I turned to one of our players and I said, this would be a great place to coach basketball. Four or five years later, after actually talking to Coach Knapton about him stepping down and about the position, I was chosen to be the next coach.
I am proud to have been chosen to be a Head Coach of Beloit college basketball. If you know anything about the history, the stories, the games, Coach Knapton and Coach Stanley it’s is hard not to get excited!
Peace.
