Dave DeGeorge

A 1989 Graduate of Beloit College, Dave DeGeorge has been at the helm of the Buccaneer Baseball Program since 1991.

Claiming the 2024 Midwest Conference Tournament title as well as both the 2023 Midwest Conference Regular Season and Tournament titles was the latest chapter in an unprecedented run in program history. From 2007 through 2023, the Bucs have won more games than any other team in the MWC. During that time span, Beloit has claimed three MWC Championships (’09, ’16 & ’23) and three MWC North Division Titles (’11, ’16 & ’21). DeGeorge has been named MWC Coach of the Year five times (’09, ’11, ’16, ’21 & ’23) and in 2009, was honored by the Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association as the College Coach of the Year.

DeGeorge is the winningest coach in MWC baseball history and his 555 wins are the most in program history. With just 3 more wins, DeGeorge will become the winningest coach in the history of Beloit College Athletics.

Coach DeGeorge has been married to his wife Jacque for 33 years. Jacque is a third grade teacher in Beloit. DeGeorge’s son, Jordan was an all-conference and all-region pitcher for the Bucs and the winning pitcher in the 2009 MWC championship game. Jordan served as an assistant baseball coach at Wheaton College, Central College and Aurora University. Today, he is the Head Strength Coach at Niles North High School. DeGeorge’s Daughter-in-Law, Nicole, is a Beloit grad, played softball for the Bucs and today is a Doctor of Physical Therapy.

Coaching runs deep in the DeGeorge family. His father, Ed (a member of the baseball staff), was the head football coach at Beloit for 29 years. Coach’s brother, Joe, before entering a career as a teacher was the head football coach at North Central College. DeGeorge’s brother, Mike is the basketball coach at Cal Poly.

In May of 2020, DeGeorge was named Beloit’s Director of Athletics.
