Beloit College

John Smith was hired as an assistant football coach in the Spring of 2025, where he will serve as the Wide Receivers coach.

Originally from Hoopa, California, Smith spent his entire collegiate career at Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa. He earned his first collegiate start as the Rams’ signal-caller during his junior year, starting seven games. Over the course of his career, Smith totaled 4,733 passing yards, 42 touchdown passes, and a 60% career completion rate. His performance earned him All-Midwest Conference honors in each of his final two seasons.

Smith earned his degree in Health and Physical Education from Cornell College in the Spring of 2024. Beloit marks his first coaching opportunity at the collegiate level.
