Kelly Millins

Kelly Millins is an emerging force in women’s ice hockey coaching, bringing a rare blend of high-level playing experience, tactical intelligence, and a deep passion for player development. At her most recent position as NCAA Division III Women’s Ice Hockey Assistant Coach at Wilkes University, she already made a meaningful impact, guiding a roster of 34 athletes and leading the team to an NCAA national championship first-round appearance in her first season. Her approach to coaching is rooted in discipline, accountability, and a sharp understanding of the game, all of which translate into strong team culture and improved performance on the ice.

Before stepping behind the bench, she built an impressive playing career at Elmira College, where she played five seasons and helped the program achieve consistent national success. During her tenure, the team made multiple NCAA tournament appearances, finished as national finalists, and claimed four conference championships across the UCHC and NEHC. She was known not only for her presence on the ice but also for her leadership in the locker room, setting a standard of excellence that carried across the program.

In addition to her collegiate coaching role, she has developed players across all levels through specialized goaltending instruction, elite summer training camps, and national showcase events from 2019 to 2025.

Off the ice, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and has completed her Master’s in General Management. Her background in science and sports performance gives her a unique edge in areas like athlete wellness, injury prevention, and long-term player development. She brings a strategic mind, a coach’s heart, and a player’s grit to everything she does.
