Larry Knight

Larry Knight was named Head Coach of the Beloit College basketball program in 2024. He enters his second season with the team after joining the staff in 2023 as an assistant coach.

Knight came to Beloit with extensive coaching experience at the high school level in his home state of Maryland. He previously held coaching positions at Arundel High School, Friends School of Baltimore, and Chesapeake Science Point.

A native of Crofton, Maryland, Knight was a collegiate athlete, playing basketball at Penn State Beaver. He holds a bachelor's degree in Secondary Education and Biology.

On what brought him to Beloit, Knight says, "As someone who was moving far from home I was nervous about the adjustment. Beloit as a college and community has such a family feel that it has felt like another home for me now. From the diversity to the community events it truly feels like one large family."

Off the court, Knight enjoys playing chess and is an avid sports fan, cheering for the 2024 NBA Champion Boston Celtics and the Philadelphia Eagles. His sports heroes are Danilo Gallinari and Peyton Hillis.
