Mark Edwards brings a strong focus on player development, team strategy, and fostering a positive and disciplined team environment. His passion lies in building fundamental skills and knowledge, ensuring every player reaches their full potential.

Edwards' head coaching experience includes leading the Beloit Memorial High School Men's Varsity Hockey Program from 2007-2011, the Team Wisconsin High School Pre-Post Program (1999-2000), and the Marquette University Men's Club Program (1996-1998). As an Assistant Coach, he contributed to the Beloit Memorial High School Men's Varsity Hockey Program for several years (1986-1998; 2012-2013) and the Madison Capitals Girl's Program (1999-2002), where he focused on skill development and game strategy for defensemen, along with off-ice training.

His educational background includes a BS in Teacher Certification: Physical Education from UW-Whitewater (2001) and a BS in Recreation Resource Management from UW-Madison (1989). Edwards' playing experience includes the UW-Madison Badger Hockey Program (1981-1984) and the United States Hockey League (USHL) with the Waterloo Blackhawks (1980-1981) and St. Paul Vulcans (1979-1980).

Edwards is committed to individualized feedback, mentorship, and using game film to assess strengths and weaknesses. He champions sportsmanship, discipline, and hard work, serving as a positive role model for his athletes.

Edwards offered the following comments regarding his involvement with the program: "I'm excited to join Coach Millins in launching Beloit College's inaugural women's hockey program and to help guide a dedicated group of student-athletes as they grow on and off the ice. With years of coaching experience at multiple levels, I look forward to developing their skills, strengthening team culture, and building something special together"
