Mike Gulve

Mike Gulve enters his fifth season as a full-time assistant coach for Beloit's baseball team in the 2023-24 school year, serving as the Buccaneers' infield and hitting coach and their strength & conditioning coach. He is responsible for administrative duties, recruiting, academic support, and day-to-day baseball operations. The Bucs have compiled a 79-44 overall record since Gulve joined the coaching staff, which includes winning the 2023 Midwest Conference Championship and advancing to the NCAA Tournament.

No stranger to Beloit, Gulve played both baseball and basketball for the Buccaneers for all four years, graduating in 2017. He was a four-year starter on the baseball team, playing both center field and second base, while earning All-Conference honors in 2016. One highlight of his playing career came in 2016 when Gulve was a member of that year's MWC Championship team that advanced to the NCAA Division-III Tournament. He finished his playing career with a .304 batting average, to go along with 158 hits and 100 walks, which ranks second in program history. He also compiled a .434 career on-base percentage.

A native of St. Louis, MO., Gulve graduated from Webster Groves High School in 2013. He is the only person in the history of the Beloit College baseball program to win a conference championship as both a player and coach.
