The Beloit College men's basketball team fell to Lake Forest 100-82 in Flood Arena Wednesday night.
 
The different in the game came from long range as the Foresters hit 48-percent of their shots, including nearly 60-percent (10-17) in the second half, from beyond the three-point arc compared to Beloit's 6-21.
 
Lake Forest hit back-to-back threes to open the game and held the lead the rest of the way. The Bucs pulled to within two, 11-9 at the 12:51 mark in the first half but the Foresters responded with 10 straight to extend the gap to 12.
 
The Buccaneers continued to battle and narrow the margin to six, 31-25 with less than three minutes in the half but once again LFC put together a small run, tallying the last four points of the half to go into the locker rooms with a 35-25 advantage.
 
In the second half, the Bucs whittled the lead down to five, 46-41 with 15:44 remaining. The Foresters quickly pushed the lead back to double figures where it held the rest of the game.
 
Matthew Miller led all scorers with 24 points while Tristan Shoup and Mason Jones added 17 and 16 respectively. Andrew Walters led all players with 12 boards and added five assists.
 
The Bucs return to Flood Arena Saturday to host Illinois College at 4 p.m.
