The Buccaneer men's soccer team was edged by Lawrence University 1-0 in Appleton, Wisconsin Saturday afternoon.
Lawrence registered the lone goal of the game in the 12th minute on a blast from 35 yards out.
Beloit College had a myriad of opportunities with a 10-7 advantage in corner kicks but were unable to tally the equalizer. The Bucs registered six shots on goal compared to seven for the Vikings while committing fewer fouls in the contest.
Luis Rodriguez made six saves in the complete game in goal for Beloit.
The Bucs, now 2-3 in league play, have the week off before heading south for a weekend in Illinois. Beloit will visit Knox College Saturday afternoon before heading to Jacksonville for a Sunday meeting at Illinois College.
