The Beloit College volleyball team lost a tight four-setter to Lake Forest College 3-1 (25-18, 17-25, 25-22, 25-17) Tuesday evening in Flood Arena.

The first set was a back-and-forth affair until the Foresters went on a 9-4 midset run to take a 19-14 lead. The teams traded points but the Buccaneers were unable to close the gap falling 25-18. The Bucs bounced back in set two jumping out to a 5-1 lead and then extending their advantage to five points multiple times during the set. As a team, the Bucs tallied 15 kills in 41 attempts and registered just two attack errors in the 25-17 set two win.

The Foresters held the lead for the beginning points of the set until the Bucs made a run to tie the set 11-11. Beloit eventually took a 17-14 lead before LFC ran off five straight points to regain the advantage 19-17. The Bucs stayed close knotting the set once more at 21 but the Foresters were able to tally four of the final five points to take a 2-1 lead in the match.

An 11-0 midset run for the Foresters gave LFC a 20-12 lead and put set four out of reach for the final.
