The Beloit College men's basketball team fell to Coe College 84-60 on the road Saturday afternoon.
The Buccaneers struggled to match the hot-shooting Kohawks in the first half. Beloit shot just 31-percent from the floor in the first 20 minutes compared to Coe's 65-percent. The Bucs held close for the first eight minutes of the game before Coe went on a 30-10 run over the final 11:37 of the first half to take a 44-25 advantage at intermission.
Beloit's offense got going in the second half. The Bucs were outscored by just five in the final 20 minutes of the contest.
For the game, Beloit shot 37-percent while Coe neared 60-percent from field goal range.
Tristan Shoup led the Bucs with 14 points and added a game-high six assists.
Darin Empereur tallied eight points, three steals and four assists while
Andrew Walters continued his dominance on the glass posting a game-high 14 rebounds.
The Bucs will head to Milwaukee to take on Wisconsin Lutheran in another tough non-conference contest. The Saturday, November 23 matchup is slated for a 7 p.m. tipoff.
