The Beloit College women's basketball team fell to North Park 72-40 in the squad's season-opener in the first day of competition in a tournament hosted by NPU Saturday.
The Buccaneers struggled to find their rhythm offensively in their first competition of the season. With two players sidelined by injury, seven Bucs saw action in the season opener. Beloit shot just 15-percent in the first half but started to get going after the intermission shooting 38-percent from the field in the second half.
Lauren Glaser posted a game-high 16 points bolstered by 6-9 from the charity stripe adding four assists in the contest.
Christy Melton and
Kelly McLean were active on the glass with 13 and 10 rebounds respectively.
Beloit will conclude play in the North Park Tournament Sunday afternoon against either Coe or Spaulding.
