The Beloit College women's soccer team fell to St. Norbert College 4-0 on a frigid day at Wedgbury Stadium at MercyHealth Sportscore Two in Loves Park, Illinois Saturday afternoon.
The Green Knights dominated possession holding the ball for more than 60-percent of the contest, over 70-percent of that in their attacking zone.
Despite being forced back into their defensive zone for much of the game, the Bucs did break out into an offensive push forward on a number of occasions. The best opportunity came in the second half as
Mikaila Davis was able to get in behind the Green Knights' back line. She dribbled passed a few defenders for a one-on-one opportunity from the corner of the box. She set and struck the ball well toward the near post but was denied the score by a good save from SNC's keeper.
St. Norbert scored in the ninth minute and then three times in the second half for the final.
Audrey Ketterer and
Connor Keegan-Lloyd split time in goal for Beloit combined for five saves.
The Bucs wrap up the 2019 season 4-13-0 with a 2-7-0 mark in Midwest Conference play.
