Bucs Fall at IIT in Season Finale

The Beloit College women's lacrosse team wrapped up the 2019 season with a 15-4 loss at Illinois Tech in blustery conditions Saturday.

The Bucs fell to the 10-4 Scarlet Hawks that boast a 10-2 mark in league play. Beloit ends the season with a 5-10 mark overall and 3-9 record in the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference.

Beloit's offense was provided by Kieran Rodning and Nicole Dolcimascolo as each posted two goals in the game. Dolcimascolo struck first to knot the game 1-1 just under seven minutes into the contest. Rodning also tallied an equalizer off an assist from Dolcimascolo beating the keeper at the 17:55 mark in the first half to make it 2-2. Rodning struck again to halt a 3-0 IIT run with 6:33 on the scoreboard to make it 5-3. Olivia Nasatir tallied the assist on the goal but the Scarlet Hawks took over from that point. IIT outscored Beloit 9-1 in the final 30 minutes with Dolcimascolo posting the final goal of the game for the Bucs with 6:35 remaining.

Dolcimascolo led Beloit with two goals, an assist, and game highs in groundballs (11) and caused turnovers (6).

Alexa Arakelian made 12 saves in the game.
