The Beloit College women's basketball team fell to Cornell College 66-51 Saturday afternoon in Flood Arena. The Buccaneer seniors including

Dani Strejc and
Kelly McLean were honored prior to the start of the game.
The Bucs struggled offensively in the first half trailing by 17, 35-18, at the intermission. The Rams shot 47-percent including over 30-percent from three-point range to take the double figure lead after two quarters of action.
Beloit turned it around offensively in the second half shooting 50-percent from the floor led by an efficient second half from
Kelly Loudon. Loudon hit 5-7 from the floor, 3-4 from three-point range and 2-2 from the free throw line for 15 second half points.
After hitting just 1-8 from long range in the first quarter, the Bucs really came into their shots making 8-13 the rest of the way en route to shooting nearly 43-percent from downtown in the game. Cornell's offense centered around the three ball but they took advantage of their size when they got the ball in the lane outscoring Beloit 28-10 in the paint.
Loudon's 18 points led all players as she added 10 rebounds for the double-double.
Christy Melton tied Loudon for game-high honors on the glass with 10 boards. McLean registered a game-high five assists adding seven points in the game.
In the final minutes of the game, each senior was subbed out to a standing ovation from the Beloit faithful commending each of them on their careers. Glaser holds the program and Midwest Conference record for assists in a game with 17, a mark she set against Rockford a season ago. She entered the record book in the same category with 11 assists against Knox earlier this season. With four assists Saturday, Glaser's career total of 274 ranks fifth in program history. Strejc knocked down a triple Saturday, her 117th career three-pointer, tied for fifth all-time. A transfer coming in for her sophomore season, Strejc made nearly 39-percent of her shots from three-point range over three years as a Buccaneer.
