The Beloit College men's soccer team returned to conference play Saturday suffering a 3-0 loss to Illinois College at the Strong Complex in Beloit.
The squads battled through nearly the first two-thirds of the first half with neither offense finding the back of the net until Illinois College broke through. The Blue Boys got on the board in the 30th minute. Just six minutes later, Illinois College found the back of the net again to take a 2-0 lead into the half.
In the second half,
Brock Bidwell made a fantastic save on a free kick that was blasted toward the lower left corner of goal but a Blue Boy got on the end of the free ball in the box for the 3-0 IC lead.
Bidwell made a number of stellar saves in the contest, thwarting six Illinois College opportunities in 90 minutes in net.
