The Buccaneer women's soccer team was edged by reigning Midwest Conference champion Knox College 1-0 on their home field Saturday afternoon.
A goal by the Prairie Fire in the 34th minute provided the lone score of the contest.
The Knox offense pressed the Bucs' defense firing 13 shots including seven on goal in the game.

Briana Arteaga turned away six of the scoring chances. Meanwhile the Beloit offense had three scoring chances including a shot on frame from
Mikaila Davis that was thwarted by the Prairie Fire keeper.
Now 1-1 in league play, Beloit will head to Lake Forest to take on the Foresters Tuesday, October 5. Kickoff is slated for 4:30.
