Beloit and the Rams battled through the first 90 minutes of play with the defenses winning the battle. The team's combined for 15 shots including seven on goal in the contest adding a total of 13 set pieces on corners with none of the offensive opportunities providing a goal.Â
Just over a minute into the overtime period, Cornell's Zach Miller found the back of the net to bring the game to an immediate end as collegiate soccer uses the golden goal rule.Â
The Rams share the league's best record with Midwest Conference regular season champion Knox College at 7-1 in conference play this season.Â
Beloit ends the season 4-10-2 and 2-6 in the MWC.Â
