The Beloit College volleyball team dropped a pair of matches in a triangular hosted by St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin Tuesday night.
The Buccaneers fell to Marian University 3-0 in a very tight match in their opener falling 25-22, 25-23 and 27-25.
Regina Guehlstorf tied for match-high honors with nine kills and two blocks. Setter
Cora Linos bolstered Beloit at the service line with two aces while outside hitter
Katrina Sanchez registered 17 digs.
Beloit dropped the second match to the host St. Norbert 3-0 with set scores of 25-16, 25-21 and 25-18. Sanchez had the top offensive numbers for the Bucs ith a match-high ten kills. Adajenae Cox was steller from the service line putting pressure on the Green Knight defense to the tune of four aces while Linos added another three giving her seven total aces on the night. Cox was also fantastic in the backcourt with a team high digs.
