The Beloit College women's basketball team fell to a solid Ripon College squad 94-43 in Flood Arena Friday evening. 
A huge first quarter had the Redhawks holding a 30-10 advantage after the first ten minutes of play. 
The Buccaneers responded and stayed close in the second quarter, 16-13, but Ripon extended the gap in the second half. 
After shooting 65-percent from the floor in the first quarter, Ripon ended up 51-percent for the game. The Redhawks dropped in 7-16 from beyond the arc and 17-22 from the charity stripe. Height and length played a key factor as Ripon was able to add 28 second chance points. 
The Bucs shot 40-percent from the floor in the game but struggled from the free throw line hitting just 7-18. 
T'Aira Boyance led Beloit with 14 points on 6-7 from the field. 
Addyson Ciochon joined Boyance in double figures with 11. Ciochon and 
Hadja Bayo each registered a pair of blocks. 
A quick turnaround for the Beloit will have the Bucs back in Flood Arena to host Cornell College Saturday at 3 p.m.
