The Beloit College men's soccer team topped Ripon 2-0 to open Midwest Conference play Saturday afternoon.
The Buccaneers dominated offensively firing 16 shots including 10 on goal in the contest. Nine of those shots came in the first half but none found the back of the net.
Conor Waldron broke the stalemate in the 53rd minute with
Derek Veenstra and
Deji Agunbiade registering assists on the goal.
Agunbiade gave Beloit a cushion with a second goal in the 83rd minute off an assist from
Aiden Everett.
Brock Bidwell registered the complete game shutout in net for the Bucs.
