The Beloit College swimming and diving team made their return to the pool after a holiday break hosting UW-Oshkosh for a meet in Nicholls Natatorium Friday evening. The Buccaneer men were topped by the Titans just 397.4-379.6 while the women fell 430.5-361.8 in the dual meet.
Camden Leonard led the Buc men individually with two first place finishes. He was tops in the 100 individual medley with a clocking of 58.44 and took gold in the 100 free coming into the wall in 50.34. Leonard added a bronze in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:06.87.
On the women's side,
Maclaryn Leonard was the first to stop the clock in the 100 individual medley registering a time of 1:07.30. She added a third place finish in the 100 backstroke after posting a time of 1:06.96.
Other top finishers for Beloit included a silver for
Abbey Scott in the 100 freestyle (1:02.44) and third-place finishes for
Nathan Sill (100 butterfly, 1:07.64),
Helena Harrison (1 meter dive, 145.70),
Bea Champeny-Johns (100 breaststroke, 1:19.61), and
Lulu Champeny-Johns (50 free, 27.65; 100 fly, 1:08.62).
