SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Beloit's volleyball team lost in three sets to Saint Mary's (Ind.) on Friday night. The Buccaneers lost the first set 25-19, before dropping the next two 25-10 and 25-19, respectively.
Katrina Sanchez led Beloit with seven kills and one service ace, while
Cora Linos led the team with 10 assists.
Komachi Naoe posted a team-best 13 digs, while
Jada Daniel led the Buccaneers in blocks, with two.
Saint Mary's was led by Shay Theile, who led the team in both service aces (5) and blocks (4). Mia Shields recorded a match-high 14 kills, while Remington Vincent and Colleen McCarthy led SMU in assists (17) and digs (14), respectively.
Beloit will be in action again on Tuesday when they'll play Monmouth College in a game that was rescheduled from Saturday. Tuesday's match will begin at 6 p.m. at Beloit's Flood Arena.
