BELOIT, Wis. - Beloit's men's basketball team lost to Judson University Saturday afternoon by a score of 72-66. Judson shot 51 percent (26-51) from the field, while Beloit converted 34 percent (23-67) of their shots. Judson also out-rebounded the Buccaneers by a 43-30 margin.
Beloit was led by
Azeez Ganiyu's 23 points and six rebounds (four offensive), while
Michael Myles scored 11 points on 5-of-11 shooting.
Brian Rusch added nine points and a game-high three steals.
Isiah Burd led Judson with 20 points, five rebounds, and four assists. Jack Keller added 15 points, while Anterrious Rhyan scored 12. Thomas Donati added 13 points, 12 rebounds, two assists, and four blocked shots in 26 minutes off the bench.
The Buccaneers will try to rebound on Tuesday when they'll host Illinois College as the two teams resume conference play. That game will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Flood Arena in Beloit, Wis.
