APPLETON, Wis. - Beloit College's men's basketball team suffered a 59-50 loss at Lawrence University Wednesday night. The Buccaneers shot 37 percent (19-52) from the field, including 26 percent (5-19) from 3-point range, while Lawrence converted 44 percent (22-50) of their shots and 29 percent (6-21) of their 3-pointers.
Beloit (5-14, 2-9 MWC) was led by
Semaj Roy's 12 points and six rebounds off the bench.
Clayton Jenny and
Bryce Friedrich each added eight points, while
Jabari Scuefield recorded a team-high three steals.
Lawrence (8-11, 5-5 MWC) was led by Matthew Kaznikov's 13 points, while Adrian Sarancic added nine points and a game-high 15 rebounds. Parker Prahl also chipped in with seven points and 10 boards. The Vikings outscored Beloit in the paint by a 32-18 margin.
The Buccaneers will try to rebound on Tuesday when they'll host Ripon College. That game will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Flood Arena in Beloit, Wis.
