BELOIT, Wis. - This afternoon the Beloit College Men's Soccer team hosted the Grinnell College Pioneers (6-5-5, 1-3-2). The Buccaneers (3-8-2, 3-2-2) looked to make a late push for post season seeding with the win. 

With just two minutes off the clock, the Pioneers found the back of the net. That goal was one of eight shots GC fired off in the first half and one of 10 all game. Only three shots were on goal. 

The Bucs tied the game at 1 in just the 8th minute. Derek Veenstra (Three Rivers, MI) netted the goal and Emilio Mendoza (Trementon, UT) recorded the assist. 

All three goals were scored in the first half, with Beloit's 2nd goal coming in the 30th minute. After a GC foul in the box, Aiden Everett (Odessa, TX) took and converted the penalty shot. 

Beloit now sits in 5th place in the MWC with one conference game remaining. 

The Bucs host Hamline on Tuesday at 4 p.m. at Strong Complex in a non-conference game.
