BELOIT, Wis.- The Beloit College football team hosted the Ripon College Red Hawks (4-5, 4-4) this afternoon. Prior to the game, the Buccaneers (2-7, 1-7) recognized multiple staff and faculty members for all that they do for the College and Beloit Athletes.
For the second week in a row, thr Beloit offense struggled to find a rhythm in the first half. The Buccaneers' only points in the first half came from a 25 yard field goal from
Rafael Cervantes Jr. (Dallas, TX). BC trailed 35-3 heading into the locker rooms.Â
Beloit started to gain momentum in the second half, scoring touchdowns on their final two possessions of the game. The first came was scored on a 3 yard run by
Drake Marquez (Northbrook, IL). Prior to Marquez's run,
Donavan Richardson (Winter Haven, FL) rallied off three rushes, 10-yd, 45-yd and 5-yds. The second one came via a combination of rushes and completions. The scoring play was a 6-yd catch for
Jose Guillen (La Pine, OR). On that drive, Richardson ripped off a 10-yd and 20-yd rush while
Cooper Larrabee (Bow, NH) had a 19-yd reception.Â
The Buccaneers return to Strong Stadium next Saturday when they host MWC leading Illinois College. Kick off is set for 12pm. Prior to the game the football seniors will be recognized.Â
