BELOIT, Wis.- The Beloit College Swim and Dive teams hosted Ripon College for their first home meet of the 23-24 season this afternoon. The Women's team looked to start the season 2-0 for the first time in at least 5 years. For the men, they were searching for their first win of the season.
Women: W, 121-113
Winners for the Women included
Maclaryn Leonard (South Beloit, Ill.) in the 50 and 100 Free times of 26.49 and 58.33.
Lylah Murrah (North Pole, AK) in the 200 IM and 100M fly clocking in at 2:27.15,(200 IM) and 1:07.45 (100 Fly).
Helena Harrison (Chapel Hill, N.C.) in both the 1M dives (203.05) and 3M dives (222.45-School Record).
Men: W, 70-63
Winning for the men were
Ethan Casler (Mundelein, Ill.) and
Jeremy Mueller (Machesney Park, Ill.). Casler won in the 1000 Free with a time of 12:28.31 and in the 500 Free, clocking in at 5:51.07. Mueller continued setting records, breaking school records in both the 200 Free and 100 Fly. He swam a 1:42.74 in the 200 Free and a 51.97 in the 100 Fly. He also placed 1st in the 100 Back, touching the wall in 56.03.
The Buccaneers don't return to the pool until November 18th at home, the meet will start at 1 pm.
