Buccaneers Unable to Keep Up with Knox, Fall to 1-1

BELOIT, Wis. - On Saturday, the Beloit Buccaneers Football team traveled to Galesburg, Ill. for a MWC matchup with the Prairie Fire of Knox College. Beloit headed into the game looking to carry the momentum from their home opener and move to 2-0 on the season. Knox had other ideas, and held the Bucs offense to only 14 points while putting up 31 points of their own.

Scoring Drives:
- The Bucs got the ball at their own 42 yard line with 1:19 left in the 1st half. Following a Prairie Fire offsides, Jacob Shafer (Dixon, IL) found Cooper Larrabee (Bow, NH) for a 15 yard gain. Moving quickly, Drake Marquez (Northbrook, IL) rushed for a 7 yd gain. Another short Shafer pass to Chris Moore (Lakeland, FL) gave the Bucs a 1st down. Shafer then found AJ Fitzpatrick (Chicago, IL) for a 26 yard touchdown reception with just 10 seconds left in the half.

- On BC's second drive of the 2nd half, they put together a masterful drive that resulted in their 2nd touchdown of the game. The drive consisted of 5 rushes, 4 by Marquez and one by Donavan Richardson (Winter Haven, FL), as well as 3 passes by Shafer, each to a different receiver. Fitzpatrick caught a 10 yd pass, Jeto-Rivar Sanon (Miami, FL) caught a 9 yd ball before Moore and Shafer connected for a 26 yd score.
