BELOIT, Wis. - Last night the Beloit College women's soccer team faced the Firebirds of Carthage College in Kenosha, Wis. In a battle of defense, the Firebirds prevailed, edging the Buccaneers 1-0.
The lone goal of the game came in the 77th minute. Carthage led BC shots, tallying 11 total and 5 on goal while the Bucs only mustered 6 total and one on goal.

Maya Betzler (College Place, Wash.)played all 90 minutes, making 4 saves while allowing the one goal.
Abigail Membrino (Darien, Wis.) led BC with 2 shots and the teams only shot on goal.
Beloit gets a much needed break and won't return to the pitch until Septemeber 16th when they head to St. Louis and Harris-Stowe. That match will kick off at 1 p.m.
