BELOIT, Wis. - The Beloit College Volleyball team celebrated their five seniors this evening after their match against the Lawrence University Vikings. The Buccaneers (4-19, 0-6 MWC) had the momentum in the first set before the Vikings (10-18, 3-3 MWC) stormed back to win the set 26-24. The Buccaneers tried to swing the momentum back in their direction but couldn't. BC fell in straight sets, 26-24, 25-24, 25-15.
All five seniors made an impact for the Bucs,
McKayla "Maka" Simao (Sparta, Wis.) led the back row with 12 digs, she also recorded one assist and one service ace.
Camille Ledoux (Saint-Liboire, Quebec, Canada) tallied five kills and five digs while
Siddalee Meyers (Orfordville, Wis.) added two kills and one block. Along with Simoa in the back row,
Kaci Watanabe (Wahiawa, Hawaii) collected 7 digs.
The Buccaneers have a quick turnaround before they host the Red Hawks of Ripon College tomorrow afternoon. First serve from Flood Arena is set for 1 pm.
