BELOIT, Wis. - The Beloit College Women's basketball team needed a second half surge against the Carroll University Pioneers this evening to get their offense going. The Buccaneers (0-2, 0-0 MWC) fell to the Pioneers (2-0 0-0 CCIW) 32-75.
The Bucs struggled against the Pioneers engulfing press in the first half, mustering only six points over the first twenty minutes. In the second half however, the Bucs posted 26 points and outscored Carroll 11-10 in the final frame.Â
Johanna McNair (Fishers, Ind.) led the Bucs with nine points and eight rebounds. She helped establish a presence down low for the undersized Bucs.
Kaelie Moreno (Yorkville, Ill.) came off the bench and added six points and six rebounds.Â
The Buccaneers look ahead to Thursday when they host the Spartans of Aurora University at 7 pm in Flood Arena.Â
