LAKE FOREST, Ill. - This afternoon the Beloit College Women's Soccer team fell in the opening round of the Midwest Conference Tournament to the No. 1 seed and host Lake Forest College Foresters. The Buccaneers conceded an early goal and were unable to find a rhythm offensively and fell by a final score of 0-1. 

Reigning MWC Player of the Year, Izzy DeStefano put LFC on the board in just the 12th minute. Five minutes later, Kaitlyn Hudetz (Plainfield, Ill.) fired off the Bucs only shot on goal. Buccaneer keeper Maya Betzler faced a total of eight shots, saving six. 

This marks the end of the 2024 season for the Buccaneers. They made their fourth straight trip to the post season and posted winning MWC record for the fourth straight season.
