MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The Beloit College women's basketball team earned a decisive 64-48 win over Mount Mary University on Monday afternoon at the Bloechl Center, snapping their recent losing streak. Despite their 1-11 (0-3 MWC) season record, the Buccaneers showed impressive dominance throughout the game.

Hailey Johnson (South Milwaukee, Wis.) led the charge for Beloit with a stellar performance, scoring a career-high 25 points on efficient 10-15 shooting, including 2-4 from three-point range. Johnson's all-around game was on full display as she also contributed 9 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 3 steals.

The Buccaneers established control early, jumping out to a 13-3 lead in the first quarter thanks to strong defensive efforts that held Mount Mary (5-8) to 0% shooting from the field. While Mount Mary showed signs of life in the second quarter, outscoring Beloit 21-14, the Buccaneers maintained their composure and never relinquished the lead.

Angela Donath (Wausau, Wis.) provided a crucial spark off the bench, also scoring a career-high 14 points on perfect 5-5 shooting. Hadja Bayo (Round Rock, Texas) dominated the glass with 11 rebounds, while Johanna McNair (Fishers, Ind.) contributed a solid all-around game with 7 points and 9 rebounds.

The Buccaneers showcased their superiority in several key areas, out-rebounding the Blue Angels 54-29 and scoring 36 points in the paint compared to Mount Mary's 16. Beloit's bench also outperformed their counterparts, contributing 24 points to Mount Mary's 12.

Shooting efficiency proved to be a key factor in the victory, with Beloit shooting 42.1% from the field compared to Mount Mary's 25.4%. The Buccaneers' defense was particularly effective, forcing 20 turnovers and converting them into 26 points.
