BELOIT, Wis. - The Beloit College Men's Basketball team dropped their final regular season game this afternoon on the road against Lake Forest by a score of 42-70.
The Buccaneers (16-9, 9-7 MWC) were held to their lowest point total of the season in a game where they only led once in the first 30 seconds of the game. The Foresters (9-16, 7-9 MWC) held Beloit to just 15 points in the first 20 minutes. BC shot only 28% from the field in the first and 32.14% (9-28) in the second.
Azeez Ganiyu (Beloit, Wis.) and
Jabari Scuefield (Hazel Crest, Ill.) were the only Buccaneers to score in double-figures. Ganiyu posted another double-double with 17 points and ten rebounds. Scuefield recorded 10 points, two boards and two steals.
Semaj Roy fell one point shy of a double-double with nine points, 11 rebounds and one steal.
Despite the loss, the Buccaneers still head to the MWC Tournament next week. They will face Grinnell College on Friday night at 7pm in Jacksonville, Ill. at Illinois College.
