Connors and Mashkuri Net Hat-Tricks, Buccaneers Dominate Sabercats

BELOIT, WI – Beloit College's women's soccer team delivered a dominating performance today, shutting out Maranatha Baptist 9-0 at Strong Soccer Field. The Buccaneers (3-11-2, 1-5-1, MWC) controlled the game from start to finish, showcasing an impressive offensive display and solid defensive play.

The Buccaneers wasted no time asserting their dominance, netting four goals in the first half and adding five more in the second. Their relentless attack kept Maranatha Baptist's goalkeeper, Chloe Dodd, under constant pressure, as Beloit registered a remarkable 64 shots, with 39 on target.

Beloit's scoring spree began in the 18th minute with Sarah Connors (Paso Robles, CA), assisted by Keira Werner (Piper, KS). Connors continued to be a significant threat, scoring again in the 21st minute and contributing to another goal in the 57th minute.

Willow Mashkuri (Middlesex, Vt.) was another standout for the Buccaneers, finding the back of the net in the 21st minute and adding another in the 49th minute, both unassisted. She completed her hat trick in the 86th minute. Mashkuri was a force on offense, leading the team with 16 shots, 8 of which were on target.

Mila Crist (La Grange, IL) joined the scoring action in the 43rd minute with an unassisted effort, further widening Beloit's lead before halftime. Sydney Avila (The Woodlands, TX) and Werner also contributed to the goal tally in the second half, solidifying the Buccaneers' overwhelming victory.

Beloit's defense was equally formidable, completely stifling Maranatha Baptist's offense. Goalkeepers Sophia Dietz (Schaumburg, IL) and Kim Pilon (Birch Run, Mich.)shared the shutout, with Dietz earning the win and Pilon contributing two saves. The Sabercats managed only two shots on goal throughout the entire match.

With 15 corner kicks to Maranatha Baptist's zero, Beloit consistently created scoring opportunities and maintained possession for 65% of the game.

The Buccaneers have one final game of the 2025 season on Saturday when the Cornell Rams come to town. Kick off from the Strong Complex Soccer Field is set for 11 am. Prior to the game, Beloit College Women's Soccer will honor their two seniors, Meah Mora and Kaya Williams
