BELOIT, WI - Beloit College's swim and dive teams delivered a strong performance this afternoon against Milwaukee School on Engineering and North Central. Prior to the meet, the Buccaneers honored Seniors Lucy Monnig (Beaverton, Ore.) and Amelia Pullen (New Orleans, La.) for their dedication and contributions throughout their time at Beloit.
The Beloit College women's team saw several impressive swims. Lylah Murrah (North Pole, AK) was a standout performer, leading the charge in multiple events. She anchored the 200 Yard Medley Relay team, which placed first for Beloit with a time of 2:06.65, alongside teammates Maya Delgadillo (Sioux City, IA); Kelsey Gerstler; and Pullen.
Murrah continued her strong showing in individual events, securing third place in the 100 Yard Fly with a time of 1:08.00. She took second in the 200 Yard Free, touching the wall at 2:09.73.
Pullen also made a significant impact, securing a first-place finish in the 50 Yard Free with a time of 27.09. She was a key member of the victorious 200 Yard Medley Relay team and also took second in the 100 Yard Free (59.19).
Monnig showcased her endurance in the 1000 Yard Free, finishing first for Beloit with a time of 12:27.50, and also competed in the 100 Yard Back.
In diving, Elsa Gregory demonstrated her skill, taking first place in both the 1 meter diving (201.95 points) and the 3 meter diving (203.20 points), providing crucial points for the Bucs.
On the men's side, Beloit College also had notable performances. Jeremy Mueller (Loves Park, Ill.) was a consistent top finisher, securing first place in the 200 Yard Free with an impressive time of 1:43.75. He took first in his other individual event, the 100 Yard Free (46.79). He also contributed to the 200 Yard Free Relay team which placed fifth for Beloit.
On the boards, Jacob Fuller (Beloit, Wis.) took third in 1 meter diving (149.60) and second in three meter diving (143.35).
The Beloit College men's team also saw strong relay performances, with their 200 Yard Free Relay team consisting of Mueller, Liam Murphy (Minneapolis, Minn.), Fuller and Jacob Fuller (Beloit, Wis.), taking fifth place with a time of 1:43.01.
The Buccaneers are back in the pool at Robert G. Nicholls Natatorium next week when they host their Midseason Invite. Action starts on Thursday, November 20th with diving at 5 pm. Friday and Saturday will begin with prelims at 10 am and finals starting later in the afternoon.
