CHICAGO, Ill. – In a thrilling five-set showdown at Moody Bible, the Beloit College volleyball team emerged triumphant, defeating Moody Bible 3-2 (24-26, 25-15, 18-25, 25-14, 15-12). The electrifying match showcased the tenacity and skill of the Beloit squad, who fought tooth and nail for every point.

The sets were a back-and-forth affair, with the Buccaneers (6-21, 0-8 MWC) securing the first set 24-26, the Archers (8-11) taking the second 25-15, and Beloit rallying to win the third 18-25. Moody Bible then pushed back, claiming the fourth set 25-14, setting the stage for a decisive fifth set. In a display of sheer determination, Beloit College sealed the victory with a 15-12 win in the final set.

The Bucs exhibited a strong offensive presence, particularly in the second set where they boasted an impressive .414 hitting percentage with 15 kills and only 3 errors.

Individually, several Buccaneers stood out. Kierra Rayne Hoover (Albuquerque, New Mexico) was a force to be reckoned with, tallying a career-high 18 kills with a .390 hitting percentage. Selin Tufte (Clarkdale, Ariz.) also contributed significantly with 14 kills. Naomi Murphy (Dubuque, Iowa) and Maddisyn Adams (Stockett, MT) were instrumental in both offense and defense, with Murphy recording 10 kills and 2 blocks, and Adams adding 7 kills and an impressive 5 service aces.

The setters played a crucial role in distributing the ball effectively, with Aaliyah Gerard (Aiea, HI) leading the team with 26 assists and Lizzie Paschal (Holbrook, AZ) contributing 13. Defensively, Renee Stout (Nocona, TX) was a standout with 15 digs, while Adams also made significant contributions in the back row. 

This concludes the Buccaneers' 2025 season.
