Beloit, WI – In their final game of the 2024-25 season, the Beloit College women's basketball team secured a victory against Lake Forest, winning with a final score of 59-48.
The Buccaneers (3-22, 2-14 MWC) established a lead early on, starting the game on an 8-0 run, which extended to as many as 14 points in the second quarter. Although the Foresters (4-21, 2-14 MWC) attempted to mount a comeback, the Beloit squad held strong, ultimately securing the win.
Senior Johanna McNair (Fishers, Ind.) led the charge for the Bucs, recording career-highs in points (19) and rebounds (11) also securing her first career double-double. Senior Hadja Bayo (Round Rock, Texas) followed closely behind with a double-double of her own, scoring 15 points and grabbed an impressive 13 rebounds.
The Bucs shot 37.9% from the field and 28.6% from three-point range. They were also dominant on the boards, securing 47 rebounds compared to Lake Forest's 44.
Beloit's bench edged out the Foresters 16-10, thanks to Julia Kennedy's (South Milwaukee, WI) 10 points.
The Buccaneers complete the 2024-25 season with the win.
