AURORA, Ill. - The Beloit College Men's Lacrosse team faced a tough challenge on the road, falling to Aurora University with a final score of 24-2 this afternoon. The loss drops the Buccaneers to 3-5 and 0-4 in NACC play and pushes the Spartans to 4-5 and 4-0 in NACC play.Â
The Spartans dominated the game from the start, outscoring Beloit 11-0 in the first period and 10-0 in the second. Beloit managed to score a single goal in both the third and fourth periods. The scoring for Beloit came from Ryder Story (Salem, Ore.) and Rilan Larmore (Olympia, Wash.), both netting one goal each, with an assist credited to Liam Walker (Elmhurst, Ill.).
Statistically, Aurora controlled the game. They out shot Beloit by a significant margin (63 to 21). Aurora also dominated in ground balls (51-19). Beloit goalkeeper Eric Seo (Woodridge, Ill.) had 15 saves in 30 minutes of action. Christian Moore (Dubuque, Iowa) tended goal for the final 30 minutes, recording eight saves.Â
