BELOIT, WI – Following another successful spring season, Beloit College is celebrating 11 standout student-athletes who have earned All-Conference recognition across Baseball, Softball, and Lacrosse. Leading the charge is a dominant baseball contingent and several key contributors from the Buccaneers' diamond and turf programs.
Baseball -
The Buccaneer baseball program continued to be a top-contender in the MWC this season, punctuated by the selection of Ben Schweit (Simi Valley, CA.) as the Midwest Conference Pitcher of the Year. Schweit was one of the conference's top pitchers all season long. He started six conference games across a league-high 45.2 innings while throwing three complete games – the rest of the MWC only combined for two. He paced the conference in walks allowed (4), strikeouts (45) and strikeouts looking (25). Schweit was also top five in the MWC in ERA (second, 2.76), saves (fourth, 1), runs allowed (t-fourth, 18), earned runs allowed (t-third, 14), home runs allowed (t-third, 1) and batting average against (fifth, .261).
Joining Schweit on the All-Conference First Team are Jack Alport (Arlington Heights, Ill.) and Will Lyng (Helena, MT). Alport, wraps up his Beloit Career as one of the most decorated players in Beloit Baseball history. He provided a lethal spark at the top of the lineup and elite defense in center field. Lyng, stepped into a high-pressure role early and proved to be one of the most reliable arms in the conference. Nationally, he ranked in the top 35 in ERA and top 20 in WHIP.
Schweit and Alport earn first team honors for the second-straight season, while Lyng earns his first career first team nod.
Rounding out the baseball honors are Aiden Wood (Chandler, Ariz.) and Seth Brankey (Salem, Wis.), both of whom were named 2nd Team All-MWC. Wood's consistent bat and Brankey's utility play were instrumental in the Buccaneers' deep run this spring. This mark's Wood's first postseason recognition while Brankey makes the second team list for the second-straight season.
Softball -
The Beloit softball program saw two of its cornerstone players recognized for their contributions in the highly competitive Midwest Conference. Allie Gustafson (Beloit, Wis.) and Kaylee Witte (Poplar Grove, IL) both earned 2nd Team All-MWC honors.

Liam Walker (Elmhurst, Ill.) was the focal point of the Buccaneers' offense, using his size and vision to lead the team in scoring opportunities. He ranked second in the MWC in shots per game. Samuel Slabaugh (Lexington, Ky.) was the heartbeat of the defense, consistently tasked with shutting down the opposition's top scoring threats.
Women's Lacrosse -
The Women's Lacrosse program saw two of its rising stars earn Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Honorable Mention status. Willow Mashkuri (Middlesex, Vt.) proved to be a true "two-way" player, impacting the game in the draw circle, on the defensive end, and in the scoring column. Mashkuri ranked in the top 20 in the conference in shots per game and top 15 in caused turnovers per game. Kylie Wolff (Alberta, Canada) played an aggressive defensive style and high lacrosse IQ that helped stabilize a backline that faced some of the toughest offenses in the region.
