BELOIT, Wis. – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the 2025-26 Academic All-District® Softball teams on May 26, 2026, and Beloit College was well-represented with five standout student-athletes earning the prestigious honor.
The Academic All-District® program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. To be eligible, student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA and meet specific athletic participation requirements, including competing in 90 percent of the team's games or starting in at least 66 percent of them.
Representing the Buccaneers on this year's list are Kaylee Witte (Poplar Grove, IL), Jessalyn Coppe (Niles, IL), Allie Gustafson (Beloit, Wis.), Avary Briggs (Albany, Wis.) and Lizzie Paschal (Holbrook, AZ).
A cornerstone of the Buccaneers' roster, Witte earns her second consecutive Academic All-District honor. The senior pitcher and first baseman balanced her Education and Media Studies major with a stellar final season. On the diamond, her efforts were further recognized this spring as she was named to the Midwest Conference (MWC) All-Conference Second Team.
Also a repeat selection, Coppe has been a consistent leader for the Bucs both offensively and defensively in the outfield. An Education and Psychology major, she joins Witte as one of the veteran leaders who helped define the program's culture of academic and athletic excellence over the past four years.
A local product from Beloit Memorial High School, Gustafson followed up a breakout athletic season with her first Academic All-District nod. The sophomore third baseman and catcher was a powerhouse at the plate, earning a spot on the MWC All-Conference Second Team alongside Witte. Her ability to anchor the infield while maintaining high academic standards marks her as a key player for the Buccaneers' future.
Briggs, a pitcher and outfielder, showcased her versatility throughout the 2026 season. A Pre-Med and Undecided major, she met the rigorous academic requirements of the CSC while serving as a reliable arm in the circle and a playmaker in the grass.
Rounding out the quintet is sophomore outfield Paschal. Emerging as a key reserve and starter for the Buccaneers this season, Paschal provided critical depth to the lineup. Her selection highlights the strong academic foundation within the program's underclassmen.
