The Beloit College men's soccer team rebounded from a three-game skid with a 2-1 win over Ripon College on the road Saturday.

The first shot in the game found the back of the net for the Buccaneers. Casey Wagner took a penalty kick after an early Ripon foul beating the Redhawks' keeper for his second goal of the season and the early Buc lead in the seventh minute.

The defenses dominated the rest of the way keeping the opposing strikers off the board with Beloit holding the 1-0 advantage at the half.

After a save by Alex Lyon, the Buc offense got going right away with Ben James registering the goal less than a minute after the save for a 2-0 Beloit lead in the 64th minute. 

Ripon would cut the lead in half with a goal in the 73rd minute but the Buc defense held the Redhawks off the board the rest of the way for the win. 

Next Up: The Bucs head south to take on Lake Forest Tuesday, October 23. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30.
