Bucs Fall to Foresters on the Road

The Beloit College men's soccer team fell to 4-12-1 on the season after a 3-1 loss to Lake Forest College on the road Tuesday afternoon.

The Forester offense was too much for the Buccaneers as LFC held a 36-6 advantage in shots taken in the contest.

Beloit's defense was pressured from the onset but held strong keeping Lake Forest off the board through the first 30 minutes of the game. The Foresters opened the scoring in the 31st minute and added a second goal before the end of the half. 

Andrew Marchesi would cut that lead in half in the 82nd minute. Following a Forester foul, Andrei Vile played a free kick into the box. Deji Agunbiade headed the ball across and Marchesi finished finding the back of the net to cut the lead to 2-1.

Lake Forest pushed the lead back to two with a goal in the 86th minute. 

Alex Lyon posted 14 saves in goal for the Bucs.

Beloit will wrap up the 2018 season on the road at St. Norbert Saturday at noon.
