The Beloit College men's soccer team fell to Illinois College 2-1 in Beloit Sunday afternoon. The five Beloit College seniors, Jason Dormon, Jose Gutierrez, Jonathan Palmer, Alex Lyon and EJ Lowney, were honored at halftime.
The Buccaneers had multiple opportunities in the first half but were unable to find that back of the net as the teams went into the intermission with no score.
The Blueboys' John Antoine scored both goals for Illinois College in the second half, just five minutes apart in the 64th and 69th minutes of the contest.
Emmett Hendrickson cut the lead in half with an unassisted goal, his first of the season, in the 82nd minute but the Bucs ran out of time before they could tally the equalizer.
Beloit held a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks and a 9-6 advantage in number of shots on goal in the game.
The Bucs will host Carroll University Wednesday, October 17 in their final home match of the season before heading on the road for three straight Midwest Conference matchups.
