The Beloit College women's soccer team outshot Cornell College 13-6 but were unable to tally the equalizer in a 1-0 loss on the road Saturday afternoon.
Eight Buccaneers registered shots in the game led by four from Genesis Dade and two apiece from Meghan McCarthy and Candace Cunningham.
The Bucs nearly took an early lead on a Taylor Goodyear strike but the shot hit the post in the 31st minute. Less than two minutes later, Cornell's Layne Pullen found the back of the net for a 1-0 Ram lead.
Dade had an opportunity as the final minutes of the first half ticked away but her shot was thwarted by the Ram keeper.
Kaitlyn Tomasin-Erickson started the second half in goal for Beloit making three saves in the first eleven minutes.
McCarthy registered a shot on goal in the 80th minute but the Bucs were unable to beat the Ram keeper falling 1-0.
