The Beloit College women's soccer team registered more than double the amount of shots tallied by their opponent but fell to Ripon College 1-0 on the road Saturday afternoon.
The Buccaneers held the Redhawks to zero shots in the first half and held an 18-8 advantage in the statistic for the contest but were unable to score the equalizer in the game.Â
Beloit also held the advantage in corner kicks 7-3.Â
Ripon took the lead just under two minutes into the second half on a goal in the 47th minute.Â
The Beloit offense peppered the Ripon defense but couldn't find the back of the net as the Redhawks' keeper tallied eleven saves in the contest.Â
The Bucs fall to 4-4 in league play and drop to sixth in the Midwest Conference with just one game left to play. That game is slated for Saturday, October 27 on the road at St. Norbert, against the currently ranked third Knights.
