The Beloit College volleyball team dropped a three-set match (25-14, 25-23, 25-16) to Marian University (Wis.) in Beloit Wednesday evening.
The Buccaneers fall to 7-12 with the loss while Marian improves to 8-10.
Eva Laun-Smith led Beloit with 10 kills adding a team-high four block assists. Amanda Baran notched six kills in 24 attempts and added one service ace offensively for the Bucs.
Paige Wimbrow set up the Buc hitters on 17 occasions and added 11 digs for the double-double. In the backcourt, Shelby Strehlow dug up 16 Sabre attack attempts and libero Payton Carlock added 15 digs in the contest.
Up Next: Beloit will host Rockford University Tuesday night at 7 p.m. in their final game of a five-match home stand before heading on the road for three straight Midwest Conference matchups. The Bucs' final home game is slated for October 26 against St. Norbert.
